MISSION, VISION AND VALUES

FIBGAR is based on solidarity, respect, promoting Human Rights, working towards the development of commmunities, mediation and fighting impunity. On these grounds, FIBGAR will develop programmes that take action through education, the law, society, politics and culture; that defend and apply human rights in defence of the victims and their right to truth, justice and reparation; as well programmes to persecute corruption and organised crime in any of its forms.

To carry out the activities that determine FIBGAR’s identity, the foundation will promote research, education and cooperation with other foundations, organisations and academic, social, political and judicial bodies, as well as coordinated direct action with concerned parties.

OUR GOALS

a) Promote a culture of activism, promotion, guarantee, development and defence of human rights, and a culture of cooperation for the development of communities in a judicially safe and peaceful culture

b) Develop investigation, education and social practice programmes in Human Rights.

c) Cooperate in social, economical, political and cultural development, promoting social movements and basic structures that can ensure the achievement of the principles of truth, justice and reparation.

d) Spread, defend and promote:

o the principles of Universal Jurisdiction and International Law through permanent promotion and with the aim of developing the necessary means to fight impunity, on national and international levels. Start, develop and promote legal cases that involve applying these principles anywhere in the world.

o the necessary programmes, principles, means and actions in academic, social, political and judicial fields to persecute corruption and any type of organised crime.

e) Promote mutual understanding and active cooperation with institutions, bodies and organisations in fields that affect human rights, judicial safety, prevention of drug dependence, promotion of law, and fighting corruption and organised crime.
